I ran in my first half marathon in Annapolis yesterday. I felt it was important to write to tell you what a great, well organized event it was. From the announcer at the start and finish, to the pace leaders with balloons, to the well staffed/placed water stops, to the amazing necklace (LOVE IT,) to the shuttles, to the great route and party, to the nice volunteer who took the chip off my shoe…you and all involved did a fantastic job and I can’t say enough about all the positives that made yesterday a first-rate event that I’m sure will grow in the future! I know I’ll be back with some other runners next year!
Again, thanks for making my first half so great and I will be spreading the word to other women to ZOOMA next year!

For the 20 plus races I have participated in, the whole feeling around this race was great. The volunteers were energetic and supportive, as I said, I had a really tough race but all of the water stops were still there even though I was in the back of the pack and the volunteers were still cheering and smiling. The whole vibe at the after party was great too. I really hope that you are successful with your races and I plan to make your event a tradition with my girlfriends. We really had a fun time. Thanks so much!

After a half mile downhill, runners crossed the finish line on the waterfront at Jones Green Park.
All finishers received a custom-designed silver necklace in a neat little box with a bow at the finish line. Thanks to Saturn and ZOOMA Women's Race Series for the fun gift!
Many women wore their necklaces to the post-race party (see below...)

That was my first 10K, and it was a blast. Thank you so very much for the great experience. The organization and execution was first-rate. My daughters loved the kids run. They took their t-shirts to school yesterday to proudly show them off during “sharing time” … and I am proudly wearing my finishers’ necklace right now.
Sign me up for 2009!

Check out the necklaces!
Happy runners at the post-race party.
See you next year!
